This is a mod for the WEN 6550 12.5 inch planer thicknesser.
It has a terrible design for a dust port, and is a weird size at 2 inches, instead of 2.5 inches like most dust collection for small tools. In this case, I want to be able to hook this planer up to my shop dust collection via a 4 inch hose for better removal of chips. Thus this mod was born. I had to split it into two pieces, and I made the walls 0.25 inches thick to give me some peace of mind for failures. I believe I have this so that a standard 4 inch to 2 inch reduction adapter should fit, if someone feels like testing this, let me know.
