I am tired of the wimpy cell phone camera stands and tripods that are easily knocked over at just the wrong time. I also do not like permanently mounted holders in the event I have to move my printers. So, I designed this weighted base. The base can be filled with sand or, alternatively, steel or lead shot for added weight. I filled my bases with S-70 very fine steel blasting media. Total loaded weight per base is 1lb 14oz. The base can be printed without supports - just tweak the overhang settings on your slicer. I reduced my overhang angle from 45 to 40 degrees to eliminate sagging. Glue the cap to the base with 5 Minute epoxy or CA glue using a toothpick.
The base should work with any GoPro Extension. This phone holder snuggly fits a Moto G Power, 2021. Phone dimensions are: 165.3 x 75.9 x 9.5 mm (6.51 x 2.99 x 0.37 in).
M5 screws are used at the joints.
