The wearable mask of King Tutankhamun with an assembled height of 67 cm. This model is made slightly larger than the original mask with a height of 54 cm so that not mummificated adult male i.e. I can wear.
The total weight of filament required to print all components is approximately 2.2 kg.
[File details]
- There are two component types: for data consisting of 18 components, the maximum size of each component is about 20 cm; for data consisting of 59 components, the maximum size of each component is about 13 cm. Choose the one that is suitable for the maximum print size of your 3D printer.
- The components are available in a ZIP file by type.
- There are two eye types, one with holes and one without. Choose the former for cosplay fun and the latter for the actual burial of the pharaoh.
- Each component is not necessarily provided in an STL file with a suitable orientation for 3D printing. So you have to decide on the contact surface to the build plate according to the conditions of your printer and the type of support.
[How to assemble]
- Each component is to be joined by adhesive such as methylene dichloride.
- It is strongly recommended that the parts are joined from the centre line of the pharaoh's body towards both sides, rather than from the left or right. The more components are joined, the more fitting errors accumulate, so if you start joining from the ends, there is a risk of a misalignment of a few mm to 1 cm at the opposite end.
[Note]
- The files numbered 0 are 1/10 scale samples just to see how to assemble or how the final product look like, but not suitable for 3D print.
- If both of the component types do not suit for your 3D printer in terms of printable size, you are able to cut either of 0 files as you prefer on your slicer or CAD applications, and print them at 1000% scale to get the wearable mask.
