Nothing out there was "good enough" for serious rugged use, so I designed something that could hold up to "actual" abuse.

I used 2dB antennas for this project as they should be "good enough" for the distances we are operating within. I wanted them internal so no-one would break them. Also, less gain means the antennas will be more omnidirectional and will will be less sensitive to radio orientation.

This design uses the RAKWireless 19007 mainboard
Additionally, you can get a IP68 waterproof USB-C port for easier charging and programming, but make sure you get one with data comms capability, alot of them are power only.
