The file 'Water Jet Enginge | Wasserstrahlturbine 3D Printer Model' is (stl,f3d) file type, size is 1.7MB.
15.10.18 UPDATE:
I tried to print it in the designed size and it worked just fine! You will just have to make your own impeller (15mm Dia and around 30-35° Pitch) :)
I am overhelmed by the amount of downloads, hope you will have fun with it ^-^
I always wanted to make my own RC-Waterjetengine.
Since a year i had this in the pipeline, but a harddrive crash got me rid of all data, so here we go again.
It took me about 60Hours (in other words one week without sleep :D ) to design, test and improve it but now it works way better than i wanted, lightwight and so strong all the parts will always survive hitting the floor from over 1.5m.
I tested it many times, not intentional but yeah.. i did. :D
You will need
3 Ballbearings with 2x7x3 or 3x7x3mm Size for the Shaft.
2 or 3 mm V2A Shaft. I tried 3mm Carbon and it just explodet from the torque.
300 Brushless or 540BD Motor with an RPM aim of 20k or Higher.
0.3mm Carbon or Alu for the Strats (Black in the Pictures)
It's a 30mm Impeller so very standard Size.
Mine is tested and tuned to run in a two Impeller Setup. Epoxy will hold it to the Shaft easylie.
The Waterjet just works like a real one.
When the Boat gets faster and lifts up, the Jet will already be on a selfdrawing Speed.
Feel free to Design your own Impeller based on my CAD if you want, i made it completly editable (if you have a little bit expirience in Fusion).
If i forgot something you need to now or if you have questions, feel free to comment or write me, i am totaly new to the community
