Here's one for summer fun with the kids: A water cannon!
The body is 1.25" schedule 40 PVC pipe.
The plunger shaft is 0.5" schedule 40 PVC pipe cut 1.75" longer than the body.
I print in ABS which can be bonded to PVC using normal PVC pipe cement. The plunger is glued to the plunger shaft and the nozzle is glued to the body. The two handle halves are trimmed of the extra material and glued together using ABS juice. Once they are set, they get glued to the plunger shaft with PVC pipe cement.
There is an end cap. This is just held on the body with two screws.
The plunger uses a #18 O-ring and lots of silicone grease for a smooth action.
Have fun with it!
