This part will allow you to mount a raspberry pi camera at extruder level to see what's going on with your printer. Perfect for Octoprint and the like.

It mounts to the top cable holder bolt on the left side of the printer. The cables are held in place by the camera holder so you don't need to use the plastic loop that is installed from factory.
I advise adding an M4 washer between the printed part and the mounting nut to spread the load and prevent damage to the printed part.

You'll also need two M2 nuts, bolts and washers, with at least 12mm thread length. I used longer ones and cut them down once it was screwed together.
Also, you'll need a longer camera cable to reach your Raspberry Pi, which can be found on ebay and the like in various lengths.

The lens hood is used to prevent the LED's from causing lens flare and is super glued into place, but only AFTER focusing the camera. My Raspberry Pi camera V2 came with a focusing tool so it was easy to do.
Play with the focus to get a good image (I moved the extruder just beyond halfway across the print bed and focused the camera there).

On the subject of LED's, the more light the better. You'll have better image quality and less motion blur.
I added 24V LED strips to three sides of my printer, totaling about 1 amp worth of power draw and it works well.

There is a little hole in the front of the case. It lines up with an LED that was on one of my cameras, so you can drill it out to size and stick some plastic rod or thick fishing line or something to act as a light pipe so you can see if the LED is on.

I've supplied STEP and Rhino 3D (.3dm) files so you can remix and stuff if needed. Just be cool and credit me somehow. :)

[EDIT] Reuploaded files to try to correct rounding errors that messed with the placement of objects in the 'laid out' STEP file.
