Summary

This is a multi-paper pull-down mount for photography backplates that includes a locking mechanism to lock the paper in place. Mine is currently holding 4' rolls of paper.

Extra parts required:

  1. Print everything out.
  2. Measure the length of your paper roll and mount the main brackets on the wall, making sure to give enough space to fit the paper roll, guide and "star" locking mechanism plus a little extra space (maybe about an inch or more).
  3. Slide the PVC pipes into place (IF YOUR PAPER ROLLS FIT NICELY ONTO THE PVC PIPES, PLACE THEM ON NOW), make sure that you slide a star and guide onto each PVC pipe in between the two brackets.
  4. place the handles on whichever side you want to control the paper rolls on.
  5. Once you confirm that there is enough space for the paper, stars, guides and a little bit of sliding room, super glue the stars, guides and handles into place.
  6. (IF YOUR PAPER ROLL FITS NICELY OVER THE PVC PIPES, SKIP THIS STEP) Place your paper roll below the whole setup, bring the cut side of the paper roll up to one of the PVC pipes.
  7. Tape or glue the paper to the PVC pipe and roll it till the amount of paper reaches the 3D printed "Guide."

You're done! Now you can roll the paper out and slide the PVC pipe (using the handle) to lock it into place. The "star" 3d print on the PVC pipe will lock into bracket with the star cut-outs.
