I'm getting back into cosplay and I needed better wig storage. I wanted something where I can take those standard styrofoam wig heads you find at most craft stores and mount it to the wall. What I came up with is a plate that mounts onto the wall with a slide-out hook to make it easier to get my wigs on and off this holder.

There's two plates: one with a flat back for mounting using command strips (renter friendly!) and one with two screw holes sized to use standard 1/4 in screws.

Then there's two hook options: a single piece and a segmented piece. Both hooks are 1 in in diameter and should fit most standard styrofoam heads

The single piece is easiest to print, just make sure you arrange it on the side for maximum strength and use supports. An example slicer lay out for that is shown in the images provided here. This piece extends about 6 inches from the wall.

The segmented piece is good if you want to vary the length of the lower hook part or if you want to reinforce the strength as they all feature a center hole to accommodate a 1/4 in dowel with .2mm of clearance. You can double up the the center pieces as many times as needed for your desired length or just scale it up in the long direction. The dowel cut out is 1 in long in the hook part and .5 in long in the wall plate part, and the center pieces are 1 in long. For example, if you want to print it to fit a 7.5 in long dowel, you'll want one wall part, one wig hook part, and six center parts. Orientation on the build plate doesn't matter as much for the segmented hook and no supports needed. Use super glue to attach dowel to wig hook parts, see CAD assembly above for example.
