This is a wall mount for a viola or violin, and bow. I already had a mount for my guitar and my wife thought it would be nice to mount her viola in a similar way. This is the fourth iteration of my design and it's working perfectly!
Because it's printed in PLA it's a bit slippery so the viola can slide off quite easily. One way to solve this is to glue a small patch of anti-slip material on the spot where the mount and viola meet. Another way, what we ended up doing, is putting a nice rubber band over the two extremities of the mount. This has been working fine for quite a while now.
The model is more than strong enough, I tried to break some early prints and it took quite some force. And these were printed with 20% infill, the final version was printed with 30% infill just to be sure. Print with supports by the way, just for the shoulders of the "u" shape coming out of the base.
