This is a remix of "Wall_mount_for_Lego_McLaren_Formula_1_car" that i can no longer find on this site. It was at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6040914 and the link still works, but its not coming up on the search. All credit for the original design to the creator Excludos.
I split it into 2 pieces and also put a groove in for the LightMyBricks.com lighting kit for the Lego McLaren F1 Car cable that goes through the section that this bracket occupies as without the groove there was unacceptable tension on the wire and could lead to issues later in the kits life.
Part 1 is the wall attachment, and part 2 is the car attachment, it slides under the cockpit and locks in, sandwiching the lego pieces between the printed pieces. Gravity helps hold it in place. I have included a picture of a lock i made to hold this piece in place. you should be able to find pieces for it rather easily in your lego piles. if not, bricklink is your friend.
To connect the two, there is a hole for a M3 bolt 50mm in length. screw that in and it wont come apart.
I may come up with a small standoff plate as the back wheel is very close to my wall when test fitting. either that or extending the section between the car and wall.
