This spacer assists in mounting stuff to the cargo net mount points of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz.
It is designed for an M8x35mm carriage bolt (coach bolt, round head/square neck bolt; German: Schlossschraube) and a matching eye nut.
To mount fully insert the bolt into the larger part of the opening without the spacer, push it toward the smaller part, then push the spacer on the bolt. You'll probably have to keep the bolt in place with your little finger so it doesn't turn when you screw on the eye nut. After 2-3 turns you can pull on the eye and twist the spacer so it will catch the square neck of the bolt, preventing it from turning. Then fasten the eye nut.
I have no long-term experience yet. It might need some screw fastener glue to keep from shaking loose.
Might work even better when printed with a slightly flexible filament. If you find PLA too hard on the plastic part beneath, a thin rubber gasket between the flat part of the spacer and the car or printing in TPU might help.
Might work on Volkswagen VW T5 as well, as it seems to have similar mounting points.
