This is a clip-on replacement ashtray cover for the two hole ashtray as used in the 1969 to 1977 Volkswagen Beetle. This cover snaps on to the ashtray and should stay in place fairly well on it's own, however if you would like additional reinforcement you can heat the two pegs on the inside of the ashtray with a lighter and flatten them out.
