British Vulcan 6ts lorry built 1941-1953
Vulcan Motors was a smaller British car and truck manufacturer, that became 1936 a part of Tilling Stevens. The 6PF or 6VF (depending on motor option) should have been introduced on the Commercial Motor Show 1939, but this didn’t happen due to the start of WW2. However, in 1941 Tilling Stevens got permission to produce this type for civil use, so the lorry became one of the few not reserved for war department and available to everyone. By that reason it became quite popular during WW2 and years after.
It found also its way to other countries of the British Commonwealth and after the war in some numbers to customers on the continent. During search work I found evidence for it’s use in France, Netherlands, Northern Germany (British occupation zone) and Scandinavia. Due to its large popularity among British transport companies during the war it’s no wonder, that this type formed a significant share of the fleet of “British Road Services”, when established in 1948. Also, the British Railway inherited a number of these lorries at least from GWR, LNER and LMS.
The production and the use of the trademark ended in 1953, when Tilling Stevens was taken over by the Rootes Group.
Here are now the basic versions of the lorry, in a long and a short wheelbase. More special versions of the lorry will follow…
For a complete truck you need:
1x chassis (long or short)
1x cab (Four versions available plus one pre-supported for easier understanding how I printed it)
1x platform or body (Tank and short body fits only to short chassis, others only to long chassis!)
1x wheel aft
1x wheel fore
1x driver figure (optional)
Mounting of forward wheel may not be self-explaining – See explanations given in PDF-file.
I made Decals for my lorries (see PDF) and printed them using white toner from:

For windows I used Microscale Micro Kristal Klear.
