Summary

If you have converted your Aquila and most likely the Creality Ender 3 / Ender 3 V2, Ender 3 Pro etc... and have converted it to direct drive like I have, you will have likely noticed at full height the extruder smashes into the filament spool. This pivots and leans the spool back enough to get out of the way, while allowing the spool to pay out filament more cleanly as the extruder travels along the X axis.

Printed out the original and noticed that the screw holes were too big, went into sketchup and found that the there were just too many facets to this thing for as simple as it should be so I simplified the design just enough to make it an easy print and verified that it works. I also reduced the size of the "foot" that rides in the slot just slightly to allow for the mount to be repositioned without herculean effort. The original design was simply far too tight in the slot and should a hand slip during install could cause injury. The weight of the spool keeps it from being slide side to side in operation.

I have printed multiple copies of this and can attest to the fact it works, and does so well.

Print this out in 100% infill to give the bolt threads something solid to bite into. Carefully run the bolts in and they will cut their own threads as they go. Do not overtighten or you will be printing more of these.

I printed mine in PETG as I have lots of that stuff.
