I wanted a version of the original where I could print the leaves flat/without supports, which means they had to be separated from the base.
To make them fit in the base again I extruded the leaves down a couple mm, so they sit like tabs inside recesses/slots in the base now. I thought it best to make the base solid to accomplish that.
Each slot is 0.3mm longer and wider than the tabs, which I found made them snug but removable. This worked for me for both PLA and PETG but let me know if it doesn't work for you. You can glue the parts together to make sure they don't fall out but hey, modular napkin holder!
I widened the base slightly too. I don't really know why I did that; maybe I planned on having a lot of napkins.
