This is my take on a 14th scale RC Volvo A60 H Dump Truck
Things you'll need and some building tips:
Six "Dagu Wild Thumper" or equivalent wheels and tyres.
A minimum of two (preferably six) 37mm brushed gear motors with a 250 RPM output and appropriate esc. If you want to use only 2 motors please bear in mind that this will be a very heavy model which will only get heavier the more you load it up.
A high torque standard size steering servo rated at 10KG force or more.
I wasn't at all happy with the performance of the 1" brushed motor & screw drive dump box lift setup presented in these files and ordered a couple of 140mm Actuonix linear actuators instead. At £60 each they're quite expensive though and not to everyone's liking but on the plus side if your metal-work modelling skills are up to scratch you might well be able to get the centre-mounted motor and screw design to work better than I could with my shaky old hands.
I used 1mm thick sheet aluminium to sheath both the top and bottom of the centre section of the dump box to lessen the likelihood that rocks being repeatedly being dropped into it would forcing it into early retirement.

added a set of wing mirrors which had been forgotten about in the original post
added a chassis mount and reinforced dump bed lugs to take 2 x 140mm Actuonix actuators for the dump bed
