Summary

WARNING: This involves putting strong magnets into the models while it's being printed which could possibly damage your nozzle/extruder or your 3D-printer in other ways.
Print and use at your OWN RISK.

You need 6 small round magnets (around 8mm⌀ and 3mm high).

This is a magnetic adapter for vive 3.0 trackers that can be easily removed. Fits the head-strap on Pico 4 and probably on other headsets, if not just resize the strap-holes. Good for using with continous calibration in openvr space calibrator.

Steps:

  1. Start print the adapter.stl anyway you like with some infill (20% is good).
  2. Pause the print just before the magnet-holes are printed over.
  3. Insert the magnets into the holes (Important: Make sure all the magnets are facing the same direction of their polarization AND ofc that the magnets are below the last printed layer).
  4. Resume print and hope all goes well.

Now do the same thing with socket.stl but make sure the magnets face the opposite way with the opposite polarization to the adapter, so they all attract and not repell.

If all went well the adapter should easily snap into the socket.
