The file 'Vinyl Siding Block Light Mount (4″ Siding) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 55.7KB.

Summary

I wanted to add an exterior light but the existing opening was too small. Siding blocks were $30+ so I decided to model and print my own. Shown here is the prototype, as I have yet to paint using a matching sandstone paint. I've adjusted the model since this was mounted.

Use 1.75" to 2" Screws to screw into exterior sheathing. You will have to drill the holes wider as you see fit. I recommend using 6 perims/walls to allow for any drilling/fitment.

Updated so that no supports are needed

MOST IMPORTANT: Please print the "Vinyl Siding Block Test Pattern.stl" file first. This is a small thin template to verify it will match up to your vinyl siding before you spend hours printing a block that doesn't fit.

ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT: I based this off of MY light mounting needs. You will MOST LIKELY need to adjust the siding cutout higher, or lower within the block. This can be done using the TINKERCAD link found below, where you can EASILY adjust the height relative to the center of your light cut out.

I probably forgot something... if so, let me know. :D
