The file 'Vintage Radio – Phone Holder 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 420.3KB.
I was looking for a way to prop my phone up when watching videos or movies in bed. I didn't want something that looks too industrial… and I wanted it to look kind of cool when I wasn't using it to prop up a phone.
I was inspired by vintage radios. There are two versions… one a deeper “shelf” to hold thicker phones or phones in cases. The other is smaller and is perfect for holding a phone without a case.
Most files print with minimal or no supports.
There are several files included:
Two versions of the radio body (recommend printing on its back with some minor supports to support the shelf “lip”)
Knob (to be printed twice, no supports)
Front screen (no supports)
Rear screen (optional… I like the depth the layer of black gives when behind the front screen, no supports)
Antenna mount (no supports, recommend printing with small layers to avoid needing to sand to much to achieve a smooth rounded look)
I can imagine this looks really great in a stained wood filament for the main body and silk gold or bronze for the accessories. For the example make, I've gone for more of a synth wave / 90s feel with blue and pink.
Enjoy! If you like this an want to buy me a cup of coffee, you can find me on venmo at @Preston-moore-7
