Summary

This HO scale (1/87th) Victorian Mansion is under construction. The model at this time is for the first floor only with the second story presently on the drawing boards. Depending on your printer, some components may require some minimum minor trimming. Commercially produced 4'x8' plywood flooring wasn't produced in this country until 1927. So the flooring boards are solid lumber and in a real construction site they would be installed on the flooring joists before the walls were built. I use index card stock to represent the flooring, saves many hours of printing time. Stairs are not detailed. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on stryene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished. This build is the first floor only, the second floor is currently in the design/test phase. If you would like me to design a custom model for you contact me at: [email protected]. It is totally free but I will post it on Thingiverse for others to print and enjoy.
