Summary

This is a vibration dampener for Prusa i3. It is very effective as it reduces a lot of decibels of the noise of the printer.
Once I mesured the noise with and without this dampener but I don't remember the exact results. I think it was aproximatively 70 Db at 1m without the dampener on a wooden table, and 50 Db in the same conditions with the Springy Feet. So approximately -20 Db wich is hudge !

It fits perfectly under the feets of my Prusa i3 Rework, it should fit under an Original Prusa i3 MK2 too, or any prusa i3 with rectangular printed feets.

The silence is golden you'll never go back to the machine without these dampeners !

There has been sevral attemps to reduce the noise of the machines, with this or some people have put slates of concrete under their printer... I believe my design is more effective, because it is a true 3D shape (an helix) rather than an extruded 2D shape, it's a more elegant solution.

The spring will creep (deform) under constant load but the phenomenon will stop at some point, and the print will remain functional, it's designed for.

There's a native CAD file included (.catpart) and a .stp, a .slt, a .factory, a plan in .pdf and a .stl version with a flat top and one with just the spring, so you can put how it under whatever you want, whatever size you want, how many you want !
