As a frequent camcorder user, I often have to rewind entire VHS-C tapes before I can digitize them on my laptop. While many camcorders have a rewind function (including mine), sometimes these can malfunction and damage the sensitive magnetic tape which encodes the video data. Rewinding by hand is an option, but time-consuming and tedious process, so this gearbox is designed with a 1:4 ratio to speed up the process.
This was one of my first multi-part moving CAD models, so I've tweaked it a bit to hopefully be suitable for anyone else who wants to use this for themselves. When assembling, I would recommend lubricating all the gear shafts and interior walls before gluing the pieces together.
This model was printed on a Bambu Lab P1P with default settings and no supports.
