I wanted to reuse my old ACER display as an additional portrait mode screen.
Since the original base can't turn, I designed a 'tablet stand' - like adapter for the original base where you can put the display in any direction you desire.
As a little bonus, the tilt angle can also still be adjusted thanks to the original stand.
