The file 'Venturi Nozzle For Aquarium [reworked] 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 7.7MB.
Venturi Nozzle with various mounting options. (reworked)
After my first design was working flawless for one year now, it was time to make some improvements.
Designed and optimized to work with “Juwel Ecoflow 1000”.
If you have lower flow rates then “Juwel Ecoflow 1000”, try scaling down the nozzle.
Differences from the old design:
- way smaller design- improved (bigger) nozzle - outlet diameter which allows higher flowrate- quieter then previous design- various mounting options, including a print-in-place nozzle with ball joint for flow direction adjustment
Technical Data:
- inner connection diameter to fit the “Juwel Ecoflow 1000” connector tube = 19mm- outlet diameter (nozzle) = 8mm- outer connection diameter for air hose = 5.5mm (for air hose 4/6)
Print Settings i've used:
- printed all with PTEG (which i recommend, since my first PLA nozzle got brittle after one year working flawless)- printed with 0.2mm layer height- see slicer pictures for necessary supports- i went for the 0.15mm clearance for the nozzle with ball joint - printed on prusa mk4, structural profile
Note:
For the nozzle with ball joint, i've uploaded 3 different clearance options. It will depend on your printer, which you should go for. The printed part may seem a little “wobbly” in the first place. But due to water pressure when mounted, the joint will increase its stability.
If using this Venturi-Nozzle for your aquarium please keep an eye on it working for the first few days. Keep your aquarium inhabitants safe!
**Going to add a reworked air hose throttle soon.
