I printed Vash's revolver http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:251565, and while it was pretty good looking from a side view I thought it didn't really seem very imposing. So I modified Dan0nator's prop (and JersyBeast's remix) to make a design that is slightly closer to the anime gun.
Here's a summary of the changes I made:
1) scaled the entire thing up by 10%
2) widened the barrel, frame, and pins while maintaining important dimensions like caliber - now it doesn't look like the barrel would explode when fired
3) made the upper part of the barrel taller to match the anime (upper and lower halves of the barrel are roughly the same size) and resized other parts to match
4) remade the cylinder and ejector into a six-shooter version from a five-shooter
5) combined the frame with the pin for connecting it to the handle, reoriented the frame and added supports
