Vaillant circo to M30x1.5 (Heimeier) Adapter for Electronic Thermostat by Mikra
This is a remix of the above-mentioned design.
Initially, I used the part from Mikra. However, perhaps I didn’t print the pin solidly enough, or the combination of pressure and temperature had a stronger effect. In any case, I came into my room one morning to find the heater running at full blast. Upon investigation, it became clear that the closing pin of the heater had worn into the plastic part, which prevented the electronic control from working properly.
For this reason, I revised the part a bit. Besides a slight adjustment to the general adapter—which is negligible—I added a borehole to the pin and inserted a nail. The nail is, of course, pressure-stable and can easily close the heating valve through direct pressure transfer.
