It works! Hoover Air cordless is one of my wife's favorite home care products; the impeller disintegrated and can no longer be replaced. I decided to give the design a whirl so to speak and it works beautifully. Note that the impeller casing must be carefully split in two with a razor saw, and the nut on the shaft may not be removable anymore. The center hole is sized just slightly smaller than the shaft mount nut. The two impeller halves are affixed together with cyanoacrylate and clamped tightly until set. Depending on your print quality, you may have to dress up edges. I used quick set epoxy steel to glue the impeller to the shaft before closing the housing with hot glue. Working life of impeller is unknown, as PLA has it's strengths and weaknesses. High centrifugal forces need to be taken into account, so safeguard yourself if you use this design accordingly.
