I am working on a Roomba/iRobot type autonomous robot that will vacuum my floor!
It will be powered by Arduino. I will upload parts as I design them.
I've built autonomous arduino robots before, (see link below), but now I want to try to make one that is useful in everyday life!
If you'd like to help, send me a message! I could use help in any form!

Details:
I plan to design a dock, so that when the battery becomes low, it will return to the dock to charge. It will begin by mapping the room where it is placed, then it can be set on a timer to vacuum the mapped area.
It will use infrared distance sensors to create a map of the area, then it will use them alongside its map to avoid any objects that may have been moved since the last mapping. I will also add a sensor to the bottom so that it will avoid driving down stairs.
It will run on a 11.1v 18650 lithium battery pack that can be easily made from old laptop batteries. the 11.1 volts will be boosted to 36v to run the main motor for the vacuum. everything else will likely only use 5v
