Summary

Version History

v2

  • Add support for the original metal Joy-Con rails of your Joy-Con wrist strap to allow a greater fit for the sliding part. Shoutout to Sigismond0 for suggesting that change. The two parts have to be combined to make a print-in-place possible.
    • joy-con-grip-with-rails-v2-part1.stl
    • joy-con-grip-with-rails-v2-part2.stl
  • Add small cutout to remove Joy-Con more easily (both versions rails + no rails)
    • joy-con-grip-v2.stl

v1

  • Initial Release of the design

Summary

Hold your Joy-Cons comfortably in your hands by this adjustable 3-axis foldable Grip. It can also be a test for the calibration of your printer. The hinges have a .3mm tolerance to give the finished part a firm grip and avoid any flimsiness. It fits to my folding switch stand which was also designed to fit into the smallest pocket.
Everything is print-in-place. No screws, no glue no nothing. Take it from the printer, loose the hinges carefully and you are ready to go.
I would recommend printing it in PLA, since warping and sagging (bridging of the rails part) could be an issue otherwise.
