Summary

“The V-11 Blaster was designed by Blastech in the immediate aftermath of the Clone Wars, to use up the surplus of A280 and DC-15A parts left after the conflict. It combines elements of the E-10 Blaster for familiarity to the Imperial Army, which was the target customer for the V-11. Simple, reliable, and no-frills, the V-11 would find it’s way into the hands of the Rebel Alliance when captured from Imperial convoys headed to the Outer Rim and Wild Space, and criminal elements via the black market.”

The V-11 project is intended to be a simple, low cost Blaster conversion for M4 or M16 based Airsoft AEGs and GBBs, without permanent modifications, and easily buildable in an afternoon. The parts are designed for easy printing with minimal need for support material, and no adhesive is required to complete the build. Two stocks are offered for the Rifle and Carbine variants, and the build is scalable to whatever size AEG barrel length you have already, by simply cutting the PVC to length. Big thanks to Happy Trooper for the excellent DLT-19 drill template and BAD_CAD on Thingiverse for the outer model of the MG-34 style stock, which I modified to fit buffer tubes. Note: I recommend going with an aluminum or steel barrel nut if possible, as the printed one ends up a little bit thin at the thread area. I can confirm this fits https://www.ghostrifles.com/ghost-firearms-ar15-replacement-barrel-nut/

  • Bill Of Materials
    • 1 Spool of Filament (approx 600-700g depending on settings)
    • 4x M4x4 Cup Tip Set Screws
    • 1x M8x16 Flat Tip Set Screw
    • 2x M8x16 Low Profile Socket Head Screw
    • 4x M4x14 Socket Head Cap Screw
    • 2x M5x6 Socket Head Cap Screw
    • Length of 1 1/4in Schedule 40 PVC Pipe (measured for your setup)
    • M4 AEG with standard thread pitch on barrel nut
  • Tools

    • 3D Printer
    • 2D Printer
    • Power drill
    • Craft blade
    • Metric Drill Bits Set (for proper hole tolerances)
    • 1/2in or equivalent drill bit (for Barrel Jacket holes)
    • M5 Tap
    • M8 Tap
    • Spray Paint
  • Instructions:
    • Remove M4 AEG handguard/rail, front sight, and other barrel attachments, leaving barrel nut.
    • Measure from the front face of the upper receiver to the end of your 30mm or smaller Tracer unit at the end of the muzzle, or the end of the muzzle if not using a tracer.
    • Cut PVC to that length
    • Print and apply DLT-19 Barrel Template, drill holes per instructions on HappyTrooper’s website. Make sure to leave the bottom row where the paper connects UNDRILLED as that will be the mounting location for the grip.
      • Pro Tip: The holes can be drilled to full diameter on a Drill Press with proper speed and slow lowering of the bit, on a hand drill a large bit will have the tendency to catch and crack the pipe. Use pilot holes and gradually step up the bit size if hand drilling.
    • Clean up holes with craft knife
    • Install printed barrel nut on to the M4 upper. Test fit PVC, making sure that the fit is a slip-fit and not press-fit. Sand outside of barrel nut or inside of pipe if necessary.
      • DO NOT over-tighten the barrel nut, or it may crack due to the thin walls at the threaded section. Hand tight is fine.
    • Align Connector Bar rear notch with back of PVC along bottom of the pipe, tape or lightly glue in place. Drill out the holes with a 3.5mm or 9/64 drill bit. Remove piece, and drill out the Connector Bar holes with a 4mm or 5/32 drill bit. Attach via the M4x14 screws into the 3.5mm holes in the PVC, being careful not to cross thread or insert at an angle. Repeat with the Front Grip.
    • Drill 3 3.5mm or 9/64 holes at 12, 3, and 9 o clock on the rear end of the pipe, about 1.5in from the side that touches the receiver. Insert M4x4 set screws.
    • Drill 1 3.5mm or 9/64 hole 1/2in from the muzzle end and insert a M4x4 set screw to retain the front end cap.
    • Attach Muzzle Cap to Front End Cap via the M5x6 socket head screws, and insert into the muzzle end of the pipe.
