Remix of USB thing holder by ghostling (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:19703).
I modified the center hole to fit either a 0.5inch or 10mm magnet and cleaned up the .stl some. Adding the magnet both secures the usb devices in the holder, and allows the holder to be mounted to a magnetic surface.
I used a 0.5" round x 0.5" long SmCo magnet. There is a step in the hole to fit a 10mm magnet as well, but I don't have a magnet that size to test it. Either size of magnet will likely need to be a rare earth type to support the weight. You may have to glue the magnet in.
Solid models are included in the .zip file (.STEP .IGS .x_t .SLDPRT)
And no the magnet wont hurt the data on the flash drives.
