Summary

Small fast (up to ~18W) USB charger for Quansheng UV-K5/6.
NOT RECOMMENDED for stock Quanshengs batteries without lowering charging current.
DO NOT print it with PLA. Charger gets quite hot and will melt PLA.

Uses LX-LISC-V1 or LX-LISC-V2 2S USB QC/PD charger.

For contacts I've used copper wire 0.75mm diameter.

With added switch and some modifications to PCB you can switch between 2 set charging currents.
Current is set with resistor. There is a place for two 0603 smd resistors connected in parallel. 1 is 100K, second is 180K. It sets current to about 1.5A.

I've replaced the second resistor with 100K and connected it through a switch. This allows for a choice between ~0.8A and ~2A.

If you set it for higher charging current then ~1.4A, I recommend using case with vent holes. Charger gets really hot. @2A it goes >80*C.

Additional things:

  • 3 resistors: one ~100K for current switching, two 1-8k for LEDs
  • 1 DPDT 5.8x5.8mm latch switch
  • 3mm 2 color (R/G) LED
  • 3mm red led
  • some (3-4cm) 0.5-1mm copper wire for contacts.
  • some thin wires (28AWG / 0.08mm2 is enough) for connecting LEDs and switch
  • some thicker (>=24 AWG / 0.2mm2) for connecting charging contacts to charger PCB.
