Summary

UPDATE: I have been using this for a couple weeks now. No problems at all. Works great. Wish I had thought of this a long time ago. Adding V2 version. Has a flat base allowing the key to print vertically without support. The base improves the finger grip on the key too. Prints faster now as well.

The choke lever on my Kawasaki Vulcan wouldn't stay closed on its own. It kept sliding open. I designed this key to hold it closed while the engine warmed up. Similar to other designs but this one snaps onto the choke rod and stays put. Should work for a variety of engines with similar choke design. 4-5mm diameter rod. Mine is 4.5mm diameter. The thin part of the key is 2.5mm thick. Essentially open. I couldve made it thinner but didn't want it to be too fragile. The thicker part for choke closed condition is 13.5mm thick. It has a little ridge to keep it from sliding loose in the closed position. Requires support to print. I may redesign it with a flat base so it prints vertically with little or no support. So far it seems to work well. Will see if the nearby engine head takes its toll on the PLA material I used from the heat. Prints fast. Under an hour at 0.1mm res. Let me know if you like it or want any changes.
