The file 'UPDATED! Anet A8 – E3d V6 XtraSolid Support With 60mm Fan V2.0 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 2.1MB.

Summary

After trying every single e3d v6 clamp on thingiverse for my Anet A8, I decided to design my own with custom structure. I was printig all of them in PLA and every single one did flex a lot during printing creating ugly distorsion in my prints.

UPDATE v2.0:

  • Corrected the belt holder because it was too tight
  • Added inductive sensors holder for 16 and 18mm ones
  • Added a BLTouch support in an alternative main extruder piece, the offset are 16,75mm Y and 33,5mm X

So here it is, a very sturdy and solid clamp for the X-carriage specificately designed for the A8 and a much more silent 60mm fan instead of the 40mm stock one (search for it on amazon if you don't have one, look for the slim one to reduce weight on the X carriage).
I will design a 40mm fan conduct as well in the future, but i really reccommend you to use a 60mm one because of the single-fan design and because it's a lot quieter.

YOU WILL NEED A WORKING BOWDEN KIT, make sure you have the correct e3d v6 for the bowden before trying to print and follow guides on facebook or forums to buy the right pieces.

This design reuses the stock LM8UUs and all the screws from the original Anet A8, you'll have to remove them from the original aluminium cases and clamp them on the carriage using the 3 rear clamps I designed with the original screws that you used to fix them to the stock metal X-carriage.

IF YOU LIKE MY DESIGN, FEEL FREE TO CLICK THE "LEAVE A TIP" BUTTON ON MY PROFILE TO ENCOURAGE ME TO CONTINUE DESIGN ANET A8 THINGS.

Feel free the same way to write me messages or leave comments with advices or request, and if i can i will help you.

I haven't got a lot of free time so I don't have in program to design things for other printers or things that i don't think could be useful for me, but i'm opened to ideas to improve my skills.

NB: If some pieces need some work please let me know, to solve them you can lightly cook the piece to soften it and correct small imperfection in quotes, for example if a screw seems too large for an hole. Then tell me the problem in the comments below and I will try to apply corrections.

NB: YOU'LL HAVE TO MOUNT THE X-ENDSTOP UPSIDE-DOWN TO MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY
