Summary

Summary:

  • This is a universal wall-mounted remote holder made to work with command strips. The wall mount part consists of two dovetail sections, which allows for easy modification if needed. There are two sizes of holding rings listed. V1 is smaller and made for things like firesticks / apple tv remotes, while V2 is made for larger older remotes. It is recommended to print two rings off so that the remote will not be able to slip out the bottom or flip over the top.

  • This was designed to be a platform more than anything allowing for people to customize the system for their specific remotes rather than specific bases needed for each. Note: if not glued down, all dovetail sections can have parts slid onto them while mounted on the wall, allowing for hot-swapping if wanted.

Pictures:

  • Seen are the V2 rings with an older Toshiba Remote used for scale.

Printing / Assembly:

  • Print off all files (15 percent infill or more recommended but can go as low as 10)
  • slide the base to its furthest position and glue it in place
  • slide the rings to the desired position and glue them in place (hot glue if you may want to modify them later)
  • Attach the command strip to the assembly, and the assembly to the wall.
