Here is the Universal LED ring Light Mount from my USB Microscope Stand. As for the 3D printed threads, they fit a little tight at first, but if you slowly work them in and out they wear in a little and start to move smoothly. Printing threaded parts at 0.1mm layer height will be helpful (include parts with internal threads)
Build List:
Qty (1) - LED Ring Light Mount (fits 102mm inner diameter 120mm outer diameter LED ring lights)
Qty (3) - M8x1.25 Adjustment Screws
For the printing, I used PLA with a layer height of 0.15mm (0.1mm makes a smoother thread), 3-Layer perimeter, 4-Layer top and bottom layers and 15% infill.
I used this for the LED ring light along with an Arduino for controlling the WS2812B Addressable LEDs (Choose 45 LED version):
This is for the smaller ring light mount, these are regular LED (not RGB Addressable):
Also this can be included in the circuit to make the LED light dimmable:
12V 1A DC Wall Adapter:
DC 5.5 x 2.5mm Female Plug Adapter:
Or you cal us this DC 5.5 x 2.5mm Female Plug Adapter if you prefer to solder and want a cleaner finish:
For anyone who does print this, your feedback would be much appreciated.
