This is my universal version of Pwnas' adjustable spool holder. I
can drop any of my spools onto it without the need for adjustment.
.
The mosaic feet are his original design based on the work of
bwevans. I found that my threaded rods had rough ends where I
cut them and created the endcaps to cover them and prevent
them from scratching people and nearby things.
.
I used mike_linus' "NUT JOB | Nut, Bolt, Washer and Threaded
Rod Factory" as a starting point and completed the endcap using
sketchup.
.
The real change to the design is that the originals from pwnas and
bwevans were adjustable to fit individual spool widths. I made
mine wider and added additional bearings to accommodate any
of my filament spools without adjustment .
.
This works great on my setup and my "Printrbot Simple Filiment
Guide and Z Axis Stabilizer with Bearings"
( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:444591 ) but it will also work
with any round filament spool feeding any printer
