Summary

This is a bike frame-mounted u-lock holder to make sure it isn't rattling around while riding. This mount accommodates most u- lock sizes up to 18.5 mm in diameter.

Required parts:

  • 3D printer
  • Double-sided velcro straps / One loop straps ($7 for 25')

How to Instal:

  • Place bracket against frame
  • Loop strap through side hole, over frame, and under other side hole
  • Wrap strap around and back over the top sticking it to itself.

Reccomended:

  • To help prevent the mount from sliding when not in use and just a better overall fit you may want to glue some thin craft foam sheets to it such that play can be removed by pulling the frame into the foam. This is especially the case if you have a thinner / smaller frame

  • Print this part as seen in the pictures with the ribs facing upward such that the only supports needed are under the arches / in the hole. This alligns the layer lines such that it is strongest through the slots for the straps. Wouldnt want them breaking mid - ride lol.

  • If you are an aggressive rider or do a lot of sprinting, you may want to consider adding an additional strap to your seat tube to prevent it from swinging too much.

  • Can be printed with as little as 10% infill for bigger u - locks. If material used is a concern, infill can be reduced a fair amount just bump up the wall thickness.
