A good friend of mine was looking for a way to use his Flextailgear pump to inflate his Alpacka packraft.
I decided to have my own go at creating a little converter that screws onto the Alpacka valve and accepts the Flextail Max pump. Note, this is for Alpacka's post 2017 valves, not the older style. The two pumps this design was tested with were the Flextail Max and the Flextail Tiny. The Flextail Tiny used one of its included adapters to mate up to the U.F.O. See included pictures. I suspect there are other pumps this will work with.
I would love to hear how this works for you. Constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged.
v1 : ( 20 grams ) Works well but had too much overhang so a lot of support was printed.
v2 : ( 15 grams) Same as v1 except I reduced the overhang with a cone shaped cutout. This will use less support material, prints quicker and weigh less overall.
Cheers!!
Ruggged has designed a similar converter ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6054017 ) but, for whatever reason, it did not seem to thread onto my friend's Alpacka. The design by Rugged is more compact then mine, so it's worth checking out as well if you are watching your grams and ounces.
