Summary

https://youtu.be/zm926lDw7qo

An extended version of the Unibody AA Battery Caps. But in a book-bound form. (Before you ask why, ask "why not").

The thing comes with the same caveats:

  • Tabs can be weak and break if the print or material is off.
  • Tabs can scratch and tear battery labels, consider using this only for disposable batteries.

Printing

Pretty much the same notes as the original Unibody AA Battery Caps:

  • Use PETG or PLA
  • Don't use silk filament or exotic filaments
  • Consider using a brim for printer bed adhesion

Assembly

Print hinges to bind the books.
Print 2 band holders if you want to be able to wrap rubber bands to hold the top and bottom pages together.
Print the thumbs for the middle pages, or print more hinges to use as the ends if you want flat ends - or don't print any page ends at all if you prefer; they're optional.

To add the ends to the pages, push with force where there's an indent on the ends of the pages to guide the end notches.

When assembling the pages, make sure the top and bottom pages face inwards so batteries can't accidentally fall out unless the book is open.
