Markus Kruse of Terrain4Print just released some awesome Ulvheim buildings and ruins. He indicated that he didn't plan on building a roof in the near future, and I wanted to flesh my buildings/ruins out with some roof trusses. I created this set of hand-hewn, wood-peg, timber medieval trusses in various states of disrepair to complement his buildings.
The set includes a complete, undamaged truss, two variations of complete but damaged trusses, and 2 partial damaged trusses than can be placed on the ground, leaning against the inside walls, etc. The damaged parts can be painted up to look like they had weapon damage from siege engines, fire, rot, acid, etc.
I also created some matching scatter beams/timbers you can find here
Printing Notes: The max angle is about 55 degrees, and there's a small portion in the center of the complete trusses that need to bridge an 11mm gap - which most printers with a cooling fan should be able to do. I recommend printing with a raft or brim to get good adhesion so the parts stay rooted upright during print (I used a 12mm raft with success).
