The Empire's most massive fighter, the LF-5 Moth, was developed by Imperial Navy Stellar Yards (INSY). It was originally used as a security fighter for the colonies of the far reaches, but after several years of operation it was adopted into the Imperial Navy for its cheapness, ease of maintenance and piloting.
The following is a quote from Admiral Inis Korak's memoirs, The Alfid Wars:
