This is a sheath/handle for an ultralight backpacking titanium spork that you sharpen into a knife. It allows you to have a knife without carrying the extra weight when hiking.

to make:
buy a standard titanium backpacking spork (titanium will keep an edge aluminum will not)
a. you can find them at REI or on amazon
using a grinder sharpen the end into point & sharpen 1 side into an edge 75mm long
a. if you are right handed sharpen left side into right hand beveled edge
b. if you are left handed sharpen right side into left hand beveled edge
(Note: the pictured spork is sharpened for left handed use)
