ULTIMATE FILAMENT GUIDE

• For Flashforge Creator Pro (and similar compatible machines)

This design encompasses a dust filter system, as well as allowing your filament to go from the spool to the extruder virtually unexposed to air! Used in conjunction with a dry box (I use this one - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:743280), this will increase the life of your filament, and improve print quality by keeping the plastic fresh, and minimising defects during printing due to dust particles (sometime present prior to purchase). There's also a handy storage space for your allen keys!

This requires less than $10 of external parts, and prints easily using ABS. The dry box also cost less than $10 to build.

External parts required (all bought easily from eBay):

• 6mm 1/8BSP Male Thread Quick Air Fitting Coupler Connectors: 4 required for this part, at least another 2 (recommended 4+) for your dry box.

• 3mm PTFE teflon tubing: 2 lengths required, length will vary (distance to your dry box)

• Kitchen sponge: 2x 1cm3 pieces.

The dust filters push into the main part by utilising two locking lugs - the can only turn one direction 180 degrees. There is a small amount of play when locked - this was to prevent them from breaking easily when twisting the connected tubing.
