The file 'Two Part Threaded SD Card Storage Case 3D Printer Model' is (stl, step) file type, size is 5.8MB.
I have decided to take feedback from the community and make one final revision to this design considering how popular it has been. The updates to the design include:
I have not actually printed and test fit this new version yet.
UPDATE 11/4/2022
Per makers feedback, I have increased the tolerance by 0.15mm around all card slots both micro and full, this makes the total tolerance across both sides in both dimensions 0.5mm which should help with the SD cards being too tight of a fit when fully inserted.
I should also note an intentional characteristic of the design I hadn't mentioned before, the bottom of the slots are chamfered on one corner which only allows the cards to be inserted one way.
I never could find an existing design on thingyverse to hold all of my memory cards in one place, so I designed this nifty threaded storage container with spiral knurling on the outside for "grippyness". This memory card storage case can hold 12 micro-SD cards and 14 full side SD cards, plus has hollowed out cavities that could be used to store additional memory cards or other small items.
I printed mine in natural color Inland brand ASA filament and acetone vapor smoothed the outer surface, then painted with Krylon camouflage spray paint.
Please share a make if you print this, I always love seeing other peoples makes of my designs and it is one of the most satisfying things about open source stuff.
