This plastic nut (designed for M5 bolts) is designed for non-structural connections to the standard 20mm aluminium extrusions (with 6mm wide slot) used for a number of 3D printers.
This is a cheap alternative to the expensive "post install" Tee slot nuts that you can buy online.
I required some firm connections to mount a spool holder off the top of my 3D printer, and while I didn't need these nuts to support the weight of the frame, I needed something to grip the frame so as to prevent wobble.
I haven't tested the strength of these extensively, but the units that I've printed so far are getting a firm grip.
