You can make an awesome solid oak cane / walking stick for about $7. In addition to the printed topper of your choice you will need a 1” oak dowel which costs about $6 at Home Depot and a 1” rubber leg tip – about $4 for 4 of them. Links below are just for your reference so you know what to buy:

1” Oak Dowel: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Builder-s-Choice-1-in-x-36-in-Oak-Round-Dowel-HDDO136/206184686

1” Leg Tip: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QD30TE

The topper .stl file is sized for the 1” dowel if printed at 100%. If you want to use for a different size stick – just adjust accordingly.

I print at 20% infill and then paint and coat with a 2-part epoxy resin to add the deep gloss and strength.

Just print the topper, glue to the finished dowel (sand and clear coat)with desired adhesive (I just use some of the 2-part resin I have mixed up for the final topper coat. You will end up with an awesome walking stick – or more if you are into collecting as I will be doing a lot of these.
