A few months ago I was putting a shelf in my office closet, I wanted to use my laser level, I managed but my tripod is just not tall enough. After some thought I came up with these. Standard camera tripod (at least in U.S.) is 1/4-20. I bought coupling nuts Home Depot SKU#1000016178, and SKU#670995, and SKU#671088 1/4-20x12in and 1/4-20x24in. Threaded rods so now my camera or laser level can be one or two foot taller. The two foot is longer than the tripod when fully collapsed so I may cut it down to 15-16 inches and have a 8-9 as well. 26mm center shaft. Will need double sided tape to keep the rods in place. Will make three of each eventually.
Did 5%, does okay for threaded rod but snaps off with coupling nut, did 80% for that.
