I made this tripod for my Sci Fi Slug Thrower model. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2483959 The Slug Thrower is made for 15mm - 18mm scale but the tripod could work up to 28mm I suppose. You can use the included mount if you want to put a hole in it to accept the 3mm post. There's not a lot of detail so if you scale it up more than 28mm you might want to remix it and add some.
If you want to make your own mount, the two rectangle holes are 2x4mm with 2mm spacing. The holes are a little oversized, though, to make it easy to insert and remove. Print at .2mm and make sure not to overextrude or things might be too tight. Once assembled, you can glue everything in place or leave it adjustable.
When you snap it together, make sure you insert the joints straight in and note where the center vertical support piece is on the ball joints.
